DiskBuddy is the closest thing to a direct counterpart, and we will say so plainly rather than pretend otherwise: it is an excellent, very fast native Mac app, and it is part of the reason Dropit exists. It is written in Swift, ships as a small binary, and its multi-view approach to visualising a drive is the same basic idea as ours.
Where the two genuinely differ is in the cleanup layer and the pricing. Our staging model attaches a safety tier and a written, plain-English reason to every item before it can be queued, refuses to stage protected paths at all, and re-checks each item against the device and inode recorded at staging time before it deletes anything — a guard against the file having been replaced in between. The catalogue of things it knows how to reclaim is also deliberately developer-heavy.
On price, DiskBuddy is a straightforward one-time purchase.
